First Sergeant Matt Eversmann is a highly decorated retired Army Ranger veteran of the Battle of Mogadishu, Somalia (the battle made famous by best selling book & movie “Black Hawk Down”) and the Iraq War surge. During his 20-year military career, he served as an Infantry Company First Sergeant, served as an Operations Sergeant at the US Army War College, and also as a leadership instructor at Johns Hopkins University.

Since retiring in 2008, First Sergeant Eversmann has become a consultant with his own firm “Eversmann Advisory,” an Emmy-winning documentarian, and multi-time New York Times bestselling author alongside James Patterson.
